Evergreen

At home

One of 4 lemon scented gums growing in our house yard... this is the only one that
drops limbs from time to time. There is a patch of native plants at the base, and
each time a limb falls from the tree it lands on the patch, we've had to do
a lot of replanting each time there is a broken plant under a heavy limb. We had
our tree man come and tidy up this tree, he cut out a lot of wood and that wood has
kept friends in firewood for their pizza ovens. We supply wood for 3 pizza ovens, no
need of those families to go and buy wood. They help us out by removing piles of
wood from fallen branches from time to time.
As a one time painter, to get the "green" of a eucalyptus tree, you mix yellow & black
and sometimes a touch of orange..
Koalas don't really like the flavour of the lemon scented gums
or the tall straight trunks and are rarely seen in one of these trees.

Interesting photo and information. These do look different than other gum trees.

Pretty bark. Does the wood have a lemony essence in the pizza oven? Sounds very interesting. :) V
