View from the balcony

At home

Colours of late summer/early autumn - we now share our paddocks with the neighbours
and they let their horses in our yards to keep down the grass. They are doing an
excellent job as you can see in this photo... grasses are low, less fire risk for us!

I have heard it has been a bit dry over your way Yvonne but I can see a little greenery in this shot. Hope you got some rain yesterday .

Nice view, looks very dry, like here after six months with no rain. I like your focus on the front tree and depth of field. "V"

We are practically down to bare earth ...the familiar look of summer

Send a couple over here when you're done with them if you don't mind. We're at that tipping point of the year when it's relatively wet and still quite warm so the grass grows like a jungle. A lot of the neighbours are retirees who have plenty of time for lawn mowing. I on the other hand am away at work for 14 hours a day most days so I have less chance. The net result is that someone's eventually going to hang a "Tarzan's Place" sign out the front. Yours looks delightfully manicured in comparison. Unfortunately horses are harder to come by here.
