Old ruins

McLaren Vale - Southern Vales

I'm not sure if these old ruins are still there, I took
this photo a few years ago and it appeared on Facebook
in its coloured form, a friend suggested it could look good in
mono and I think she is right.

Just out of curiosity I took a Google Street View drive up Jackson Hill Rd. Not that these were necessarily THERE, but anyway... A lot of the road's view hasn't been updated since March 2008 but some parts were redone in January 2014. As you'd expect not much has changed out there in the intervening 6 years. Flip between the two time views and it was brown and looked like it had been burnt not so very long ago. In Jan 14 it was lush and green but nothing else had changed.
If these are no longer there I'd say that they've either been burnt out in a bush fire or fallen down of their own accord; it looks like very little changes out that way, and I doubt anyone would put the effort in to rip them out.
Which is good, as they make good photo subjects.

Not too many of these early places have survived our rush to pull everything down. It looks good Von
