These were on a small eucalyptus tree in the backyard of old friends of ours.
We were visiting and luckily I had my little Lumix in my purse, I got a few photos
of these blossoms and a couple of other plants that were in bloom.
Now here's a plant close to my heart. And what a wonderful, wonderful image; quite exceptional in fact. The colours are "so eucalyptus" - grey green, subtle pink, the white bloom on the branchlets. And, of course, those leathery falcate leaves are so characteristic I could identify them as eucalypt from the proverbial mile away.
