Bug on a hakea leaf

Christine might know what type of beetle this is, I have no idea myself.

Gorgeous and dreamy image. This is a stink bug (Pentatomidae) (not a beetle), though not one we get here. The pattern is amazing. Many of these bugs eat garden pests, some eat vegetation. I can't tell which one this is. Love the photo. V

This reminds me of the horrible stink bugs that have begun to invade the US. Horrible little creatures they are!
Great capture Von! C

Apart from all it's added Maori-like designs - I'd say it was a type of shield beetle

Super detail Yvonne, I'm sure Ann is eight - a shield bug of some sort.

That comes up well uder your treatment!

This is a really sharp looking bug, Yvonne. My guess is that it is in the stink bug or shield-backed bug family. Christine or Tom Murray might be able to help you out. V
