Abundant

Strathalbyn, South Australia

We had a delightful lunch in the little pub across the road from this park and afterwards
sat in the sunshine looking at the park, and spied so many birds on the ground, but if
you looked into the trees, there were swarms of Corellas, thousands of them, seen here
in these 2 following shots. The damage caused by so many destructive little birds cannot
be repaired, the trees are doomed.

A closer view - no way would I stand under one of these trees to get an even closer shot!

Nicely composed photo of the bridge. And I don't blame you for steering clear of the birds.

Pretty scene - a shame about the tree.

Those white cockatoos are so plentiful over there in Oz. I saw heaps of them ripping up grass at a park once... All that was left was dirt !!

Strath is a lovely spot. Sounds like you had a lovely day. Lovely comp.

Are these birds staying because there is a consistent food source nearby? Pity that the trees are suffering. Time to get the shotgun... you could probably get at least 50 with one scatter shell.

That's a sweet little bridge and such a lovely scene, it's a pity those guys are so destructive...V

Destructive and noisy...no wonder the farmers are pulling their hair out having to cope with their crops being destroyed as well.

Nice to see green grass there Von..a pretty scene

Such a beautiful scene with the sun shining and the green grass and bridge. The birds add a lot to it. It's a shame they're destructive. V.

It's a lovely scene, I suspect people have created the ideal conditions for the Corellas, now they'll be blaming the birds.

Wow, Yvonne, that is a lot of birds.
Beautiful composition of such a lovely place. I could sit and relax there for hours,
enjoying the day and listening to the birds.

A delightful composition, some natural imbalance here with so many of these birds. Great view of the bridge. V

What a gorgeous spot Yvonne. But the noise would be unbearable as the sun goes down and they start to roost.
They have resorted to gassing them here.
