At a distance

Somerton, South Australia

We took Mum for a jaunt yesterday and ended up in a nice up-market beach kiosk
with this view in the distance. Best viewed in original format if you have time.

The beach in winter. Some were IN the water paddling, but not in this photo.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Very nicely composed with this perspective.

I agree with Michael about being able to stand "on" the water in our winter. We can even WALK on our water in winter! Love all the details in the rocks. Beautiful!

What a great beach! Lucky people who get to live in those high rises and see the beach on a daily basis! :) V

they seem so close to the shore, we lost whole rows of summer cottages last winter, the ocean is swelling and the tides are higher, some of those cottages where there for over a hundred years.

A sweeping view across this beach. Very nicely composed with the rocks in the foreground.

They are dressed up for a cold walk on the beach. Some still swim here all year round - but they are mad!!

Nicely organized. When it is winter at our beaches you can stand "on" the water. :)
