Communication

Its my little cell phone, hardly used, but I have it in my pocket (if I have a pocket)
all the time. Our kids bought it for me on condition I have it with me when I work
in the garden or out driving the car. Happened after Dick went off fishing with our
phone in his pocket and left me with nothing.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II ,Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8

I have a love/hate relationship with mine but they are good for emergencies!

So powerful for the subject and great shot! v.

Great POV.

Great for emergencies! I always let mine run out of batteries or don't use up all the money before it runs out ...... consequently I don't have one. But I know I should. Nice shot with the limited dof.

Fabulous perspective! Really nice composition.

Good POV, Yvonne. Though I don't use mine often it is always with me in case of an emergency, but its greatest use is making contact with my wife when we are shopping separately in the city.

Beautiful capture, the phones resemble more and more jewels... A kind of insurance, too, if something alarming happens and you are alone.. V

I live in a Town Centre, and see couples on a Night out, walking hand in hand..
Both are talking on their cell phones..... who to I wonder....... Secret lovers ???

Always good to be connected.

Really nice perspective! I don't have a cellphone as I think I'm allergic to them :-) I dislike telephones anyway, and the thought of carrying one with me is alarming! I know they are useful, but I figure I have survived this long without one, so hopefully I won't have to eat my words anytime soon!

Absolutely! If I happen to forget my phone when I go out, I feel panicky... what did we do before we had these?

Always a useful thing to carry. I like the dof and processing.

I like your shiny phone. Have to confess I love my iPhone but I use it mostly for catching
up on Pbase, news, Facebook, etc rather than making calls.

I really like this PoV!! V

what a great pov and dof!
and a good medium in life threatening situations,
like getting lost somewhere in the bush

I'm with the rest of the Pbasers ~ just got my first cell last year. Only used $14 out of $100 of the 12 month prepaid card. I hate talking on any phone, but they are a necessity in this day and age.
Great shot Von!

It is good to have a phone with you. I gave up my home phone for my cell as I'm never here. But, I hate talking on them either way. Like your perspective. Great DoF!
Janice Dunn05-Apr-2011 03:24
How did we ever manage before the mobile phone???? I don't use it much, but I always have it in my pocket too. I use it more to text...
Gerard Koehl05-Apr-2011 02:55
Excellent... V
Guest 05-Apr-2011 01:38
I hate the thing, I'm prepaid 18 months... I so rarely use it!
Guest 05-Apr-2011 01:09
Wonderful shot. V.

A bit like you Von..rarely used, but have to say it was vital during the first months of Emily's illness with us all going in opposite directions but remaining connected in case of emergency...something impossible with a land line.
A great shot for communication
