At home in early spring

The camp oven in use, Dick made a camp fire, with potatoes parsnips sweet potato etc
in the camp oven, then put a rack over the coals and barbecued sausages. We had 2 grandsons
here for the day, its school holidays in Australia for 2 weeks.

Brings back distant memories; that's one of the advantages of taking some time to browse through galleries, you often get a jolt of nostalgia. I like the capture of the flames and sharpness of the ashes.

Oh, now that sounds wonderful. Gosh, I can almost smell it from here. We have chuck wagon cookouts and we use these like this alot here. Oh my, nothing better in the world than anything cooked like this!
