Our local birds keep alert 100% of the time, we have 3 wedge-tail eagles who soar through our valley and one can always tell when they are about, the entire bird population suddenly silences and one can guess the eagles are in the area. This is one of the galahs who were feeding from the seed dish then departed into the tree to keep watch.
