Too close for comfort...

The Curramulka fire, Yorkes Peninsula, S.A.

A crop ready to be reapt stands saved after a bushfire (wildfire) came so
close and didn't burn the whole paddock. We saw where the fire started
after a truck's battery exploded, starting a fire which burnt out of
control in the searing heat of 43 celsius.
A tiny town was evacuated but saved as
the fire headed towards it.

Great story and a fine shot. Those black silhouettes are a stark reminder of the dangers of our hot dry summers.

It was an unpleasant hot spell and thankful for this recent cooler weather!

It's very scary! You have made a dramatic shot here with the burned tree on the right. Well done.
