Cootamundra

Acacia baileyana

A native of the Cootamundra and Wagga-Wagga area of New South Wales, but
commonly cultivated and naturalised in Victoria and South Australia.
We use these small trees as a wind break, they grow quickly but have
a short life span, as many Australian natives are inclined to do.
Australians refer to these as "wattles"

We have lots blooming here at the moment too, although, after reading your information, I think ours are probably a different kind. Anyway, a good shot. Well done. Voted.
