Hi Yvonne,
Thank you for stopping by one of the Fire galleries. That one was one of about 12 fires burning that day. It was a manufacturing plant that started then spread down to the gas plant about a 1/2 block away. They got the fire out before it blew up. That was not a back burn. If you look at the Waycross fire, you will see the largest fire in the history of the state of Georgia. I update the information fairly often, and will try to take more photos next week.
Take care, and drop back by any time.

Hi Yvonne! Thanks for the ID on Peach Blossom. I posted a couple more pics and an short explanation on that first pic, and it looks very much like the photos you have on HelpMeFind, so I think we'll call it a 'pretty sure'. It was on a garden tour last weekend, so I don't have all the info. I do know that I want one!

You should go for Leda - it only blooms for about 3-4 weeks, but I treasure every bloom, and of course it has a lovely damask fragrance. Mildew-prone, but I don't care! 8-)

Hi Yvonne, Good to see you visiting my gallery and leaving a nice comment. Sorry that the remaining roses in our local park have black spot on the leaves. But I thought that it was all part of the signs of Autumn. As we in England go into Autumn and Winter, I hope that you are enjoying the revival of Spring.

Yvonne, I have just found your gallery today. Your rose galleries are beautiful. We moved to a new house last July (Gawler, SA) and I had to leave most of my roses behind and set up from scratch so I will be back to view your galleries many times for inspiration.

I enjoyed looking through your galleries, they bought back so many memories. Especially the Burra Gorge and Mt. Bryan East, I was born in Burra, lived at Mt Bryan and then Burra for 28 years. Have been to most of the other places that you have galleries of. Now I am living in Tanzania which is just a little bit different to South Australia.

Thanks for the comment on Milton Abbas. There are about 50 entries under Milton in my Road Atlas. So I guess it is relatively popular. I've never been to Milton Keynes.

Hi Yvonne,

I saw a picture of "Heritage" in your photo library. How many rose bushes are represented there ? Only one bush or several ? The thing is, I have some Heritage roses as well and I wonder if mine could grow as large as yours.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yvonne, You have some of the most beautiful Galleries I have viewed to date. So relaxing and inspiring to move through the images, as if looking over your shoulder while you captured them. Love your husband's Natives. Chicago Peace has to be the pick of the Rose shots. Thanks for visiting my Galleries. I usually visit Melbourne each six months to see family. Last time (Mar/Apr), I drove instead of flying, to see more of our amazing Country and capture more of it on the camera. Greetings from Brisbane from John Brook

Your photos and blooms are lovely. Going to the main page, however, I cannot open the "A-M" folder.
Nor can I open any of the thumbnails. I'm hoping you can enliven the links. Gorgeous photo of 'Pristine'
(on profile page) that was expandable. This beauty makes me glad I picked up the discounted 'Pristine'
last autumn.
