At the Bay - Glenelg.

Glenelg is one of the closest suburban beaches to the city of Adelaide. It dates from 1836 where the first settlers came ashore and proclaimed the colony of South Australia under a gum tree. The HMS Buffalo played a significant part in South Australia's early settlement and a replica of the vessel at Glenelg is an appropriate setting for a maritime museum and restaurant.

Big developers have moved into the area and this is the part that Dick and I wandered around in, after me suggesting a photo of Buffalo might make a nice pad. Instead the photo of the Buffalo is on this gallery ...
