Potala Palace, a structure that deserves a place as one of the wonders of eastern architecture. A spectacular building, it used to be the home to the Dalai Lama.
In the afternoon,we visited the Jokhang Temple. This temple is one of the most sacred shrine in Tibet and there is always a procession of devout Tibetan Buddhist within the premises. Surrounding the Jokhang is the Barkor - a maze of narrow cobbled streets which is the central market of Lhasa

Potala Palace 布达拉宫这座拔地参天的宫殿始建于公元7世纪松赞干布时期，位于拉萨市中心玛布日山（红山）上，占地41公顷。主体建筑分为红宫和白宫，红宫居中，白宫横贯两翼。红宫有历代达赖喇嘛的灵塔和各类佛堂及经堂；白宫部分是达赖喇嘛处理政务和生活居住的地方。主楼高115.703米，13层，东西长360米，南北宽270米建筑面积约12万平方米，由寝宫、佛殿、灵塔殿、僧舍等1000间组成。

Jokhang Temple 大昭寺 大昭寺位于拉萨的寺院。又名“祖拉康”、“觉康”（藏语意为佛殿），始建于唐贞观二十一年（647年），是藏王松赞干布为纪念尺尊公主入藏而建的，后经历代修缮增建，形成庞大的建筑群。

Barkor Street 八角街
八廓街位于拉萨老城区，是围绕大昭寺的一条环形街道，也是拉萨最古老的街道，不过现今的八廓街在人们的心目中，已不仅仅是八廓街了，它是整个拉萨老城区一片典型的藏族建筑的代表，也是拉萨古城的代表。
