Here are various photos used to experiment with both RAW image processing and Panorama photo "stitching."

Click on any "thumbnail" view below to see an enlarged picture. After that, each photo has "buttons" at the bottom to select the size. In most cases, the "original" size button is the one to use.

All photos were taken from one of two fixed locations on our local duck pond, Branched Oak Lake, Lancaster County, outside Lincoln Nebraska on Sunday, July 26, 2009. The camera used was an older Canon S3-IS Superzoom whose internal firmware has been modified ("hacked") to allow for RAW image recording as well as other unsupported "enhancments" usually found in better (read as "more expensive") DSLR cameras. The panoramic photos are multiple adjacent views "stitched" into a continous high resolution image using either Microsoft's free ICE (Image Composites Editor) or Canon's PhotoStitch propietary program that is available with most Canon cameras.

The purpose of these photos is, besides providing a good excuse to be outdoors on a very nice afternoon, to experiment with various photo options as well as PC resident post processing program options. The subjects recorded in the photos were having even more fun (except the displaced resident geese)!
