On March 26 forty plus members of the LifeAscending HK (part of a worldwide Catholic organization)and Fr. Lau (parish priest of Holy Cross Church) visited Shek Kwu Chau Treatment & Rehabilitation Centre ( http://www.sarda.org.hk/en/SKCTRCH.html). We took the 9:00 a.m. ferry to Cheung Chau and was picked up by the SARDA's vessel at 10:15 a.m.for a thirty-minute boat ride to our destination. SARDA arranged a mini van to take us to to the Catholic chapel at the peak for prayer and sightseeing. And we strolled downhill for buffet lunch at the community center/indoor sport ground. Afterwards we were shown introductory short film about the centre and had a small group meeting and talk with some residents on their past and new life. Then we toured the Princess Diana Memorial Arch (she'd visited the island twice)and the Roman Bath (used to be a swimming pool but now a reservoir of fresh water). Around 3:00 p.m. we started our return journey to Cheung Chau.
