As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the consecration of my parish church, Holy Cross Catholic Church, on November 20 I attended the two final matches (the youth and adult) of the soccer competitions at Siu Sai Wan soccer ground as one of the two official photographers. I missed the group stage games as I was in the UK. It’s the first time that I try my hand on competition soccer photo taking. So as warm up I took some photos (photo #1) of people playing before us. Besides my Nikon D3 + AFS 28-300 f3.5-5.6, I borrowed from my schoolmate KKM his Nikon D7000 + AFS 200-400 f4.0. Since the playground is the small size one so actually I don’t really need the 200-400 lens. Nevertheless, I juggle between the two cameras (D7000 on monopod) during most of the matches; tiresome but fun. I didn’t include here photos for teams, referees, award ceremony etc. as they’ll be posted in the church website later and may not be interested to outsiders. Please let me have your comments.
