Part 2: London September 30 – October 1
September 30 (Fri): We’d lunch with Vivian (my former UK colleague) at Café East, Canada Water (Vietnamese cuisine). At Vivian’s suggestion we strolled around the City Quays in the neighborhood. Then I tried to buy Madrid and Seville tour guide books from Regent Street’s Waterstone’s but they didn’t have stock. I got them from Foyle @ Charing Cross. On the way home I stopped by at the London Bridge station to get the November 2 train tickets to Gatwick airport.
October 1 (Sat): We went to the Borough market (near London bridge). For lunch we’d Colchester oysters and sirloin beef burger (Baxter’s Café) and my beloved Turkish Delight (quite disappointing since more like regular jelly candy) @ the Green market. After a brief stay at the Vinopolis in the neighborhood, we crossed the Southwark bridge to One New Change. Then we went to Queensway to attend the first mass of Sunday.
