2011 0217 Holy Cross - Mass for the Married Couples
On Feb 17 as part of the celebration activities for the 50th anniversary of the consecration of the Holy Cross Church, a special mass was held at 20:00 for couples who married in the church in the past 50 years. A total of 55 couples attended the ceremony including a couple who got married 40 years ago. During the mass all couples reaffirmed their marriage vow. The memorabilia for the occasion is a cross which can segregate into two individual ones. Since it was the Lantern Festival or the Chinese Valentine Day, the church committee prepared the traditional glutinous dumplings as dessert after the mass.
NB: Since I took all my photos at the right wing of the church (the other two the opposite wing) so for the marriage vow I could only shoot the men. And I couldn't participate since I was married at the St. Margaret Church.
Equipment used: Nikon D3 + AFS 28-300 f3.5/5.6G and SB900 + Gary Fong (chrome dome)
