We attended the 10:00 solemn mass (sung by the choir in Latin and last for 90 minutes) at the Westminster Cathedral (the mother church of the Roman Catholic community in England and Wales and the Metropolitan Church and Cathedral of the Archbishop of Westminster.) which is five-minute walk from Michelle’s apartment. Then we went to Spitalfields Market for lunch at the Giraffe Restaurant. I had the salmon bagel, Michelle English breakfast and Maggie Club. I didn’t take many photos as most stalls forbid picture taking. I bought some rose-scent and macadamia nut ‘Turkish Delight’, one of my favorite candies. I went home by myself as M&M got off the bus near the Oxford Street area. In the evening at 19:00 I treated Maggie and Michelle to dinner at Mandarin Kitchen, Bayswater. We’d its famed lobster noodle plus camphor-tea smoked duck and toffee fried banana. The stewed fried tofu was a disappointment (not cooked thoroughly enough). It was tastier after we reheat it the following day for lunch. To accompany our meal I ordered a bottle of Sancerre (£30) which is quite ok.
