Thank you so much for your kind comment, Bev!

Dolomites is indeed an amazing place, with pristine Alpine meadows, stunning limestone mountains, miles of well developed trails and quaint villages. Shortly after we exit from the scenic freeway A-22, I was completely blown away by what I saw. Expansive heavenly green pasture dotted with houses - I felt like in a fairy tale! In the next two and a half days, we hiked through more alpine meadows and mountains, and came to appreciate this fairy land even more.

We'll definitely go back, in spring for great hiking amid beautiful wild flowers, and in winter time for excellent skiing in the winter wonderland.

What a magnificent shot! We spent 3 of the most heavenly days ever in Castelrotto about 3 weeks ago and it was the highlight of the trip! We went to a delightful flea market, enjoyed wonderful meals among friendly, hospitable people, and slept like babies! There was a big thunderstorm with lightening and plenty of fresh rain one night - the next day the flowers looked as though they were full of diamonds! The ride to the top of the world (or so it seemed) in the cable car provided a spectacular view! When we reached the top, it was as though the doors to heaven opened up! Miles and miles of green pastures, little houses, scattered guest houses, cows, happy children, the Dolomites almost at our fingertips. It's just not something one can really explain, but rather one must experience it! Thank you sooo much for bringing back memories. Sure wish my pictures were as fantastic as yours!
