Falconry Pics

I obtained my falconry permit this year and have since captured a female redtail and have trained her for hunting this year. heres some shots of our progress so far. Thanks for looking.

Dave that is a nice gallery of Roxie! You mom said she wanted to see her before you let her go back out in the wild. How old is she? Did you get her when she was young? How long did it take you to train her to hunt for you? If you let her go will she be wild again. If you come across her again will you be able to touch her.

Do you eat the rabbit? I was raised on rabbit & squirrel. Dad and I would go out hunting together. We would come home with 6 or 8 rabbits and 10 plus squirrels. Clean them and mom would cook them up for dinner. Mon would cook up a bunch of homemade biscuits. Fix rabbit & squirrel gravy. Now that’s some good eating.

Roxie got her first debut in 2010. Now you must name your second one so we can tell the difference. "SHE" must be a female as she has a wonderful temperment, right? ...LOL...I love your photos of this one and she seems to love to be photographed.
Enjoy your time with her. I am so proud of all your accomplishments.
