3. Early Autumn Thunderstorm Arriving

Lake of the Woods, Oregon

Last night there was a smell of ozone in the air, and building clouds above us. About an hour later the fireworks and rain began. Note how dry the grasses are in the picture. The air also has smoke from the fires already burning.

It's really beautiful despite the dryness of the grass which adds a warm tone against the blue of the sky and mountains. Love that halo of light. V.

There are many sky shots out there and this one is way up at the top with the best.
I do hope those fires helped with the burning.
