Western  Uttar Pradesh and Lower Uttaranchal is one of the biggest sugarcane belts in India. 
Driving past you will notice many make shift sugarcane plants and huge factories. Jaggery 
is a great subsitute for sugar, and these pictures show a small time jaggery production center.

hi.. I'm an business aspirant thinking to propose an outlet of fresh sugarcane juice. and i strictly want keep the standard of the product. so i need a help that how to choose the great variety among those sugar-canes that are available in India.

is there any electrically operated device for boiling the sugarcane juice in the rainy season - what is the jaggery production out put for one tonne of sugarcane.
