During my musical formative years in junior and high school while listening to KFAD radio, one of the first underground FM stations, David Bromberg became one of my musical heroes.
Later I worked at KAMC from the same studios as KFAD and my love of all types of music was engrained into my very spirit. The variety of Bromberg's music taught me that music didn't belong to any certain genre or another. Music was music and one should just let the joy of the music touch the soul.

All my life I had wanted to see Bromberg perform with a band. After his long retirement from the stage I saw him do a solo show in Austin a few years ago but what I remembered at 15 was hearing the man with a full band and varied instrumentation. At Guitar Town in Copper Mountain Colorado on a Saturday afternoon in August 2008 a lifelong desire was realized. The experience was a magical and emotional day in the mountains. Later I got to see my friend Monte Montgomery share the stage with my childhood musical hero. I had found a musical bliss that I had never known before in a life filled with music.
