I will be spending and sharing a full 5 days of shooting the floats, from early decorating to completion and post parade.
These shots are from all 4 public pavilions (Pasadena and Duarte). Take a journey through the fascinating and colorful process of these magnificent floats.

Taken on Saturday December 29, 2007. A walk through the early processes of decorating the floats. At this stage most of the floats have seeds on them but this year likely due to the cool weather some non Rose flowers were being applied as well. I will be shooting again on Day 2. (Sunday December 30, 2007). You will see some definite progress with many more roses and much more defined floats. Hopefully there will be less scaffolding.

In the Day 1 float decorating images I focused on certain details and the people decorating the floats. Quite a process to watch as there are literally thousands of volunteers. Also go some shots of two bands that were there.
