Actually I recall hard rives that were 7 feet tall and 8 feet on a side. The platters were huge and the arms were as large as my arm. 16 and 32 platters as I recall. Likely held only a few megs of info. I started working in the Computer industry in 1965. Did contract work at Goodard Space Flight Center in Maryland in the '70's.
