1951 Ford. The last rendition of the first new postwar design introduced in 1949. This design was often credited with turning Ford Motor Company around after Ford had slipped to third behind rivals GM and Chrysler. The 1951 grille featured two chrome spinners instead of the one first introduced in 1949. The grille chrome spinner theme would continue when the all new '52s were introduced, and would last appear on Ford's 1954 models.
