I bought the car a little over 2 years ago and have been improving and fixing ever since.
The car looked was pretty much as you see it now, minus the chrome bumpers grille etc.
I put the americans on with new rubber. The work I've doing has mostly to the suspenion and under the hood. I removed the X out of the frame using a CHUBBY CHASSIS kit that puts 2 news frame rails where the X used to be. This makes for a lot stronger frame also allows removal of the trans without pulling the motor. You can also run any other trans you may choose. I installed all new brake lines ,and added a CHUBBY CHASSIS power brake kit.Took out the front suspenion and replaced it with ( you guessed it ) CHUBBY CHASSIS components,Alden coil overs, tublar A arms,and 2"dropped spindles. Had to correct the driveline angle and relocate the shocks. While I was at it, all new 21/2" exhaust.Also under coated it with PAR 15 . Under the hood was just general clean up for now,with some SS braided hose GENIE SS cables etc. Going to change alot this winner under the hood so I didn't get to carried away. Also going add power steering and a Flaming River column.
The wife wants to redo the interior but that will be down the road some. I don't know how to do upholstery.
