This is not a 68, the GTO body style changed in 1968 (see my car gallery I have a couple of 1968 body stle Pontiac intermediates there) this is the previous body and this one looks like a 1966 to me.

Previous iteration of GTO to next picture. Could be a 1968 Goat, as they are sometimes called. Hood pins are a nice racing touch.
