New images taken on Saturday Oct. 27, 2007. The gardens were all in Halloween colors. Lots of activities for the wee ones. A good time was had by all. A children's costume parade, antique tractors and some of the nicest roses I have seen all year. Also Dahlias, Mums, Camelias and of course lots of pumpkins.

This is the beginning of a fall folliage/flower gallery. My next visit will be on the weekend that coincides with Halloween (Up Now). The two albums will be combined into one. Always nice fall colors at this time of year even in SoCal. I will also be attending the Japanese Garden Festival at Descanso on November 3. More here:

Descanso Gardens located in La Canada Flintridge, CA (just north of Pasadena) is a truly enchanted garden spot. The gardens are a different place each of the 4 seasons. Hope to capture the feel of early fall even here in SoCal.

THere are several ponds and a larger "lake" on the grounds that contain Koi. The koi is highly prized by the Japanese. I have a few photos of these colorful fish in this gallery. For more info on the koi fish go here:
