Mining past...

Rodalquilar, Cabo de Gata (Spain)

The mining of gold in the region started in Roman times and ceased in the 1960's. The dramatic ruins of the abandonded Plant Denver that once produced gold ingots still stand at the back of the Rodalquilar village as an interesting monument to it's history.
