Albarracín

Albarracín is considered one of the nicest towns in Spain. It is located in the south-east of the Teruel province and it is currently proposed for belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage. It has a very interesting old city, with monuments like the Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace, the Castle (XI century) and the walls that surround the city. Another charachteristic is the red tonality of the houses, due to the plaster used when they were build.

The town also is situated in a privileged nature region, near the Sierra de Albarracin and Montes Universales mountains, where many rivers like Tajo, Jucar, Gabriel and Jiloca.

For me has been a very nice surprise and a big pleasure to stay a weekend in such a beautiful town and its surroundings.
