Recently, I decided to place a childhood doll in the donation box.
Frankly, the wire upon which she stood always kind of creeped me out.
As I placed her sideways in the box, I noticed a pink dress wadded up
inside of the voluminous hoop skirt wiring. I could tell it was old
and at once decided to set my doll free from her trappings.
She's so pretty sans parasol and netting; she now graces my office shelf,
up with sibling childhood photos.
Some strings are harder to sever than wire.
