Experimenting with the new Nikon 12-24mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor

I was so excited, I didn't bother to use the correct metering or the lense hood. The pics still came out OK, but they would have been better with center weighted, some fill(Assuming the strobe could fill this close to the subject - perhaps off-camera ttl would have been best), and the hood attached. If it were brighter out, I could have stopped it down a bit more for more depth of field. Roman moves too much to use a tripod. Perhaps my monopod next time.

I am on the waiting list but this image shows what a great lens this will be for shooting pictures of my cats!!! The distortion makes it look like something out of a comic strip, it's great....
