April 8, 2007 - Tough tulips

It hardly got above freezing yesterday, and has been cold today as well. Highs around 40. When I went to church this morning, the tulips were all lying on the ground. But when I got home, some had stood up, including this one. They are tough, but still have at least one more cold night to go.

Hi Rich, Our Tulips haven't stood up in days. I don't know if this bitter cold will hurt them or not. Excellent colors in this Tulip.

I read that tulips were really hardy.. guess they have to be because they sure see their share of cold! this one is so beautiful.. good job
