Last time I visited Ireland we did the Ring of Kerry. Near the end we passed a small monument to two children, a boy and a girl about four or five, who starved to death at the time of the famine. Our tour guide told us their bodies were discovered by a road repaving crew. The Irish government debated what to do with the remains and finally decided, after a few years to bury the children where they were found. A small monument was placed at the gravesite. I need to verify this story. I want to paint a picture to memorialize the two children. Please help if you have info. Thanks & God Bless!
