City Public Service has already called; they wanted to know why I fell off-a the grid, and to get me back on a "Payin'-basis".
The top was a 2'X4', kinda butcher block, piece of wood I found at Builder's Square. It'd been shrink wrapped in plastic, a nice-ish chunk of wood, tho this one was in torn wrapper, slightly warped and dirty so they sold it to me for scrap wood price~ $4. The trim was ~$15, the 2"X4" 's were scrap off my garage floor, so the top alone was less than $20 in direct cost. Each bottle leg was ~ $5 + $6 deposit, so out-the-door costs of the 4 legs was at least $44. Cheap insurance against loss or contamination of our municipal water source, but expensive compared to materials for any wooden legs I'd make. Will 160 pounds of thermal mass actually decrease heating/cooling cost?
