I almost did not go by to check the Tupelo Water Treatment Plant mudflats on this day. We had a lot of rain and I was pretty sure the mudflats would be under water. Boy was I wrong. This was the first bird I saw. This is possibly the first inland spring record of this species in the State of Mississippi. While this photograph is not the best there is no hiding the beauty of this female.
