Took a nice long (45 minute) rest on a rock at 50/50 flat, a couple hundred yards from last week's camp. Meditated on the bail of my left crampon failing, and found myself wondering about duct tape, the eternal laxative of stuckness. Applied the duct tape, fixed the problem and started up Standstill Hill, which really does seem like it goes on forever.
