As a result of radiocarbon analysis, the Al Bidyah Mosque, located in the Emirate of Fujairah, U.A.E. has a construction date of around 1446 A.D. The Mosque is built of stone and mud bricks and coated in many layers of whitewashed plaster. The distinctive structure, and especially the roof, consisting of four pointed domes and supported by an internal pillar, is unusual for religious architecture in the region. The Mosque is still in use today.
I like this gallery and the one of Afghanistan the best--because you seek to show the places in the way anyone would see them. It's refreshing and true.
Most photographers seek to capture the conventional and that material or angle that will attract people the most. But you see, that is common and now, just glossy.
Your albums touch reality, and are truly great.
I personally love seeing any material relating to Islam, but I can say honestly that your portrayal is to be admired.
