These shots were taken on a piercingly sunny day, March 3 2008 on West Point Island..Falklands. The light was bright(perhaps too bright) enough to allow fast shutter speeds with moderate aperture with maximum zoom. Most photos were taken with an AFS Nikkor 70-300 with VR II mounted on a D80 camera atop a monopod. We were far enough away that the birds continued their activities with no regard to us. This spot was high on a cliff and shared with Rockhopper Penguins.
