The Great Orion Nebula (M42)

Orion

This is a very short exposure of the Orion Nebula - only about 35 minutes total, with 7 minutes of that in colour channels. This was a test run of the STL-11000 camera with Vixen R200SS telescope and Televue Paracorr-STL coma corrector.

Luminance data was collected with three different exposures and combined in Photoshop: 3x30s, 12x60s, and 7x120s. Primarily the 120s exposures are used, with the 60s and 30s inserted into areas that are saturated.
