Jiuzhaigou (Nine-village Valley) is located in the Sichuan Province, approximately 400 km north of Chengdu City, China. The town population is roughly 4000, but there are tens of thousands of visitors at the park at any given time. The valley is marked by high peaks & steep cliffs, countless waterfalls and mineral pools of extraordinarily clear blue-green water. The photos shown here are from my visit there on 9/23/07-9/24/07. The photos do not do this beautiful place justice--Jiuzhaigou really has to be seen to be believed! Jiuzhaigou is listed on the World Natural Heritage, World Biosphere Reserve, and Green Globe 21 lists.
