For the last 20 years the Discovery Bay Lions hosts a poker run event called the Big Cat Poker Run. The Event starts in Discovery Bay and follows a classic poker run format through the California Delta. In addition to the big Power Boats the event includes a shorter route for smaller boats like: ski boats, runabouts and pontoon boats. Each year the event raises thousands of dollars for charity while providing several large prizes to the participants.
