Around Great Falls, Montana

Great Falls is a convenient launching city for the recreational traveler interested in exploring the upper Missouri River and the eastern rocky mountain front. The area was founded around the confluence of the Sun River and the Missouri River which has several dams just east of the city. While there the water level of the Missouri River was at it's highest level in 100 years.
