These photos were taken during a Pulse wing fishery demonstration trip at the 12th of february 2011 for fishermen interested in this new technology. It combiness a wing-shaped beam with an electrical pulse system. The pulse system replaces the iron tickler chains, while the wing replaces the conventional beam, both traditionally used in beam-trawling. The combined pulse wing system leads to fuel and discards savings of more than 50%. The day was hosted by HFK Engineering, LEI-Wageningen UR, PVis and the crew of the TX36.
