Along with my nephew Michael and his wife Laura, we hiked Peralta Trail to Fremont Saddle and while there captured more examples of the varietyy of plants and their arrangements. This was my 8th trip up Peralta Trail and was the latest in the spring I've ever gone. Small gnats and flies were all around and perhaps for that reason there were hundreds of small brown geckos. Later, we saw on two occasions a large green Iguana, and coming back down the trail, several smaller ones just turning color.
