Since the ZWO AM5 is due to arrive today (yes, I sprung for it), my mighty Celestron AVX is now available.
Purchased in August of 2019 from Orange County Telescope, I opted for their $100 bearing upgrade package, which is now $179. I would say it is in very good condition, not quite excellent, due to some cosmetic issues such as sun faded legs.
As far as astrophotography, I have had it guide for 3 but it took some fiddling with PHD2. I have however used it at outreach events in Live Stack mode for 30 to 60 seconds, unguided.
It comes with the optional polar scope, installed, all accessories, including the holster for the hand controller, and all documentation, all in original packaging and cartons.
The photos shown include some taken with the SVBONY 122mm APO mounted, just for scale.
(It carries that scope handily, 22# with all accessories.)
Thanks for looking,
Bill Shaheen
